There’s a very specific type of sandwich in Maine that is called the Italian sandwich, but everyone just calls them Italians. And they are UBIQUITIOUS. Practically every corner store and pizza place makes them. Sometimes I forget how weird it is, but today I told my new co-worker from Chicago that I was running out to pick up some Italians and did he want one, and his reaction was fucking priceless, and yeah, I guess it’s weird.

I knoooow! I miss fandom, too - I’ve been popping in now and then, but not posting much, and I’m hoping to change that very soon.

The good news is that I have been writing, but a lot of what I’m writing isn’t fanfic, so the fruits of my labor are not evident here. My plans for the hiatus are as follows: Update my damn rec page like I said I would two months ago, post the epilogues of my two almost-finished WIPs, post the one-shot porny reaction fic to I Do that I never finished but have been working on, and then…I don’t know. I’m already working on a sequel to The Source of Our Power, but it’ll probably be awhile before I start posting - I want to get enough written ahead of time so I can set up a posting schedule rather than post randomly with huge gaps like I have been. I would love to write a new 5-10 chapter fic over the summer as well, and I have a ton of ideas, none of which I have quite settled on yet. Labyrinth!Klaine is definitely in the running, though. :)

aaahhhhhh I was all excited because vEGAN NUTELLA?! and I was so excited I forgot I’m allergic to nuts for a second boooooooo :(

All is not lost! This recipe for avocado-based vegan nutella is pretty good too (though you may have to tweak it a bit - it’s been awhile since I’ve made it but I think maybe the recipe as-written was too sweet or not chocolatey enough or something? I just remember having to play with the proportions a bit). It does call for 1/4C of almond butter, but you could definitely use sun butter or soynut butter instead, and I bet it would be fucking delicious mixed up with frozen bananas!
